And We're Back!

So, we've been "MIA" for a while in the blogging world. Sorry! We've just been busy I guess. Let's see. Kate had her first Thanksgiving. We spent it at our house, just the three of us (excuse me...the four of us. Lu Lu was there, too!). We missed being with our families on that day, but it was nice not having to travel and just being able to relax at the house.

Daddy got the Christmas tree down that evening. Here is a picture of Mommy and Kate in front of it. No decorations were on the tree yet, but we did manage to get some up before Christmas!

Daddy was leaving for the deer lease the next day (Friday after Thanksgiving) so Mommy and Kate went to Delta County to have Thanksgiving with Mommy's family. Here is a picture of Kate and her festive shirt. (Mommy is thankful for Kate, too!)

That Sunday was Allison Jane's baby dedication at Fielder Road Baptist Church. Mommy and Kate went to that. Kate did so good at church. Here are some pictures of her with Mimi and Pawpaw that day.

We made a trip to Conroe the first weekend in December for Avery's (Blaine and Nicole's little girl) first birthday party. Here are some pictures of us at Mimi Walton and Boppy's house. Taylor is so excited for her sister to arrive. Alli will be here any day now, and I know Taylor is going to be wonderful with her. She is so good with Kate.

We've also spent several Sundays watching the Cowboys lose. We still support them, though!

Kate got to meet Santa Claus. We went to Northpark Mall with Aunt Kim, Caroline and Allison Jane. This has to be the realest Santa that I've ever seen. Kate did really good in his lap, however I have a feeling that she may be screaming next year!

Here are some pictures of us on Christmas Eve after church, then in Christmas pj's (and hat...she looked like Strawberry Shortcake!), and Christmas morning before we left to go to Conroe.

I guess all of our celebrating wore this little baby out!

Here some other sweet pictures of Kate and her cousins.

Hope everyone had a merry Christmas and a happy new year! We feel truly blessed to have Kate in our lives and cannot wait to see what 2011 has in store for us. God bless you all.

What We've Been Doing...

November marks the beginning of deer season, so we've told Daddy "bye" several times and wished him luck as he heads off to his deer lease. Here is a picture of them before he left for opening weekend.

Here are some more pictures of Kate and what we do on a daily basis. She is getting so big and beginning to smile and make little laughing noises.

This one's for Boppy, Mimi, and Aunt Pat. Kate was watching the LSU Tigers and cheering them on in this one.

Below is Kate dressed and ready to head to the airport to welcome in and meet from Wyoming her Aunt Kim and cousins Caroline and Allison Jane. Mommy was so excited to see them and finally meet her youngest niece, Allison Jane.

Here is Kate playing on her activity mat and practicing sitting up in her bumbo chair.

To Grandmother's House We Go

Kate got to meet her great grandmothers, and some aunts and uncles and cousins a few days ago. We had a great time at Nana's and Momma Bobbie's. Here are some pictures from our trip.

Kate with Aunt Jan and Aunt Loretta:

We had so much fun there that a couple of weeks later we went back. This time Aunt Kim and cousins Caroline and Allison Jane came along. We had a great time visiting and watching the girls play.

Momma Bobbie, Nana, Kate, Caroline, and Allison Jane:

I think this picture is so funny. Kate looks so sad and Allison Jane looks so happy!

We can't wait to go back to Delta County!

Pumpkin Patch and Halloween

We took Kate to her (and our!) first pumpkin patch on Saturday. It was a neat place and I'm sure we'll be making many more trips there in the future. We think she was the cutest little pumpkin in the patch that day.

For Kate's first Halloween, she was a ladybug. Chuck and I sat on the driveway and passed out candy to the kids while our little ladybug slept. We figured this was probably the last Halloween for a long time that we'd be able to stay home.

Kate Meets Conroe

Kate and I made our first trip to Conroe a few days ago. She was such a good traveller. We only stopped one time each way to feed and change her diaper.

Here are some pictures from our trip.

Laying on Aunt Laurie...wonder if she was talking to her future cousin? We can't wait to meet her in January.
We were on the go the whole time we were there...sure was nice to be home to finally be able to relax!

One month already?

We cannot believe that a month has already gone by since Kate was born. She is such a good baby and is growing and changing every day.

Once we got home from the hospital, Kate had some very special visitors come see her. First, Mimi (Angela’s mom) came back to help. She was such a great help. Then, Aunt Manay (Amanda), Aunt Nic Nic and Uncle B (Nicole and Blaine) all drove from Conroe to come meet Kate.

That weekend, Uncle Brian, Aunt Carri, and cousins Andrew, Emily, Matthew and Jacob drove in from Wichita, Kansas to come meet the newest addition to the family. Pawpaw also came back for the weekend.

Thank you all so much for making such an effort to come see us.
This month marks a multitude of firsts...
...first bath
...watched (or really slept through) first LSU victory and first (of many!) Cowboys' loss

...first walk with Mommy and Daddy (shown here in the jogging stroller...she looks so tiny!)

...first time out to eat (we went to Twisted Root in Roanoke and had yummy hamburgers)

Here's a picture of Kate on one of her outings with Mommy.

When Kate was about 3 weeks old, Auntie M and Aunt Kim came up for the weekend. Daddy went to the deer lease, so it was a perfect excuse for a girls' weekend!

Auntie M took some pictures of Kate for her birth announcements. We had a lot of fun playing dress up!

I just thought this was a neat picture, so decided to include as well.
